Create a boutique design studio that supports focused creative work, material exploration, and personal client engagement while allowing the character of the conserved shophouse to remain part of the experience.
Project Outcome
An intimate and highly personal workplace where creative practice, client interaction, and studio identity are closely connected. Carefully composed work areas, furnishings, and collected objects create an environment that feels professional, expressive, and distinctly its own.
Heritage in Practice
The office was conceived as more than a conventional workplace. It needed to support the different rhythms of a small design practice, from concentrated individual work and material discussions to informal conversations and client presentations.
Workstations, meeting areas, samples, books, and collected objects are brought together within a compact and deliberately layered setting. Existing architectural features provide character without defining the entire design language, while contemporary furniture, lighting, and personal travel photography give the studio a more individual voice.
The space reflects the way a boutique practice works, close-knit, flexible, and highly personal, creating an environment where the process of design is visible in everyday use.
